Adventure Racing | Long Course | Definition

An adventure race with an average completion time of 6-15 hours. Completion time, disciplines and distances can vary per event and can include all or some of the following: Kayaking, canoeing and/or other types of paddling approximately 2-10 miles on flat water, open water, or rivers; mountain biking approximately 10-40 miles, single track, double track, fire road, and/or pavement; running/hiking approximately 7-15 miles, single track, double track, fire road, and/or pavement; rope work; special tests; orienteering and/or wilderness navigation. Urban events may also include stair climbing, in-line skating, city navigation and more. Check the race site for specifics on your event of choice.
