Adventure Racing | 24-Hour | Definition
An adventure race with an average completion time of 24 hours. Completion time, disciplines and distances can vary per event and can include all or some of the following: Kayaking, canoeing and/or other types of paddling on flat water, open water, or rivers; mountain biking single track, double track, fire road, and/or pavement; running/hiking single track, double track, fire road, and/or pavement; rope work; special tests; orienteering and/or wilderness navigation. Urban events may also include stair climbing, in-line skating, city navigation and more. 24-hour events will often not disclose to the athletes the specific distances of each discipline until just prior to race start. Check the race site for specifics on your event of choice.
