Spring and Fall Sport Psychology Discussion Groups for men and women:


Breakthrough Performance: Mental Training for Sport and Life

2 Groups offered for 2008: These unique discussion groups, Breakthrough Performance: Mental Training for Sport and Life, are designed for athletes seeking mental mastery in sport and life.

SPRING All Women's Discussion Group

All sessions are on Mondays from 6:00 - 7:30 PM on the following dates: April 21, May 12, May 19, June 9, June 16, June 23

All sessions will take place at Aptos Park Club House, Aptos, CA. Click here for directions.

The discussion topics for this Women's group will follow the Triathlete's Guide to Mental Training as well as Terri's research, and will include the following:

  1. Motivation | Confidence
  2. Self Talk-How our Thoughts Impact Performance
  3. Emotions | Dealing with Pain
  4. Goal Setting and Mental Training Plans
  5. Mental Imagery | Risk Taking
  6. Perception of Self/Body in Sport

FALL Co-ed Discussion Group

All sessions are from 6:00 - 7:30 PM on the following dates: August 7, August 18, August 25, September 8, September 15, September 22

All sessions are on Mondays and will take place at Aptos Park Club House, Aptos, CA.

The discussion topics for this Co-ed group will follow the Triathlete's Guide to Mental Training and will include the following:

  2. Self Talk-How our Thoughts Impact Performance
  3. Emotions | Dealing with Pain
  4. Goal Setting and Mental Training Plans
  5. Focus | Mental Imagery | Risk Taking
  6. Embracing the Healthy Side of Sport

Registration:

Each group size is limited to 8 to maximize discussion time. Cost is $399.
