Event Information
- Race Distance: Half Marathon 21k (13.1 miles)
- Race Start Time: 8:30 AM from Aptos Park
- What you get: Prize purse! All participants will receive a women's technical race shirt, fantastic goodie bag, custom finishers medal, aid stations, well marked and supported course and a post run party.
- Finisher Memento: All finishers will receive a unique Dirt Inpires finishers medal.
- The Course and Cutoff Times: The race will start
and finish in serene Aptos Park at the entrance to Nisene Marks State
Park. Runners will follow mixed fire road and single track trails for
about 4 miles before you move onto a solid single track loop for a
little over 4 miles. The final stretch is back on the fire road to
the finish in Aptos Park.

You must reach the fire road at the mile 9 aid station within 3 hours. - Aid Stations: There will be 5 aid stations on the
course. Aid stations will have water, sports drink, and gel packets.
Aid stations are placed as follows:

We require you to carry a water bottle and top off your bottle at each aid station. In order to reduce waste we will NOT have cups at the aid stations.

- Getting to Nisene Marks State Park:

Take the State Park Dr. exit. At the stop light go left onto State Park Dr. At Soquel Dr. go right you’ll see the entrance to Nisene Marks State Park on the left just past the trestle.
From Hwy 1 going North
Take the State Park Dr. exit. At the stop light go right onto State Park Dr. At Soquel Dr. go right you’ll see the entrance to Nisene Marks State Park on the left just past the trestle.
The event starts and finishes in Aptos Park which is below the entrance to Nisene Marks State Park. Park at the entrance to Nisene Marks, or in the Rancho Del Mar Shopping parking lot just north of the park entrance. - Parking at Race: There is some parking at
the entrance to Nisene Marks on Soquel Dr. near the railroad tracks.
Please follow traffic marshals as needed. Do NOT drive down into Aptos
Park. You will need to park above Aptos Park and walk down into the
park to the start/finish area (approximately .2 miles). You can also
park in the Rancho Del Mar Shopping parking lot .25 miles north of
the entrance to Nisene Marks State Park on Soquel Dr. If you ride your
bike you can lock it in the Start/finish area.

- Toilets and Leave No Trace ethics:
There will be toilets at the race start/finish area, and several toilets
along the race course on the fire road. Please bury your human waste
as needed on the trail (but carry out the toilet paper!). We recommend
bringing along a small amount of toilet paper in a zip lock bag—just
in case.
Leave No Trace on our race course. Please run in the middle of the trail. Always pack out your trash to an aid station or the finish line.
Prize Money will be awarded in the following categories:
Overall:
1st - $500
2nd - $300
3rd - $200
Masters
40 and over:
1st - $250
2nd - $150
3rd - $100
Grand-Masters
50 and over:
1st - $250
2nd - $150
3rd - $100
Notes: You must be 18 or older to win prize money.
Prize money is available for each athlete in only one race category. Prize money will not be rolled down.
For example: If Luanne, who is 48 years old, gets 3rd place Overall and 1st in the Masters 40 and over division, and Sophia places 2nd in the Masters 40 and over division, then Luanne will get 3rd place Overall prize money and Sophia will get 2nd place prize money in the Masters 40 and over division.
Awards will also go to Top 5 in the following divisions:

30-39
40-49
(top 3 cash)
50-59 (top 3 cash)
60-69
70+
Awards ceremony will start at approximately 11:30 a.m. We request that all money winners are present at the awards ceremony.
