- Race Distance: Half Marathon 21K (13.1 miles)
- What you get: Prize purse! Plus all participants will receive a women's technical race shirt, fantastic goodie bag, custom finishers medal, several aid stations, well marked and supported course and a post run party.
- Finisher Memento: All finishers will receive a unique Dirt Inspires finishers medal.

Overall:
1st - $500
2nd - $300
3rd - $200
Masters 40 and over:
1st - $250
2nd - $150
3rd - $100
Grand-Masters 50 and over:
1st - $250
2nd - $150
3rd - $100
Note: You must be 18 or older to win prize money. One person can NOT win prize money in more than one category. If there is an overlap in money winners, the money will roll down to the next person in that category. For example, if a Masters 40 and over woman wins the race Overall, she will win Overall prize money. The money for first in the Masters 40 and over will then go to the next athlete in that category.Awards will also go to Top 5 in the following divisions:
16-17
18-29
30-39
40-49 (top 3 cash)
50-59 (top 3 cash)
60-69
70+Awards ceremony will start at approximately 11:30 a.m. We request that all money winners are present at the awards ceremony.

The Course: The race will start and finish in serene
Aptos Park at the entrance to Nisene Marks State Park. Runners will
follow mixed fire road and single track trails for about 4 miles before
you move onto a solid single track loop for a little over 4 miles.
The final stretch is back on the fire road to the finish in Aptos Park.

You must reach the fire road at the mile 9 aid station within 3 hours. - Tell me about the Aid Stations: There will be 5 aid
stations on the course. Aid stations will have water, sports drink, and
gel packets. Aid stations are placed as follows:

We require you to carry a water bottle and top off your bottle at each aid station. In order to reduce waste we will NOT have cups at the aid stations.

mile 11 - What time does the race start: ½ marathon starts in Aptos Park at 8:30 AM
- Can guys run?: No. But come out and support the women!
- Are walkers allowed?: We prefer that participants run at least half of the course. We realize that many will need or choose to walk up hills or on technical sections of the course, which is just fine. But please come into this event with the intent of running at least ½ of the race.
- Is there a time limit?: You must reach the fire road after the final single track section within 3 hours.
- Can kids participate?: To participate in the half marathon the minimum age is 16 years. For those under 18, a parent or guardian will be required to sign her waiver.
- Is the registration capped?: Yes, 450 runners.
- Are the shirts sized for women?: Yes, they are running shirts in women’s sizing.
- Can I wear my headphones during the run?: Yes, but please be aware that often times on trails its necessary to communicate with other runners when passing or overtaking another runner.
- Do you need volunteers? How can I sign up to volunteer?: We’d love to have you! Click here to help out.
- Is there adequate parking at the race site?: Maybe,
depending on how many of you carpool!
